Private bank Kleinwort Benson appoints Anita Turland as head of PR

London-based private bank Kleinwort Benson has hired Anita Turland as head of PR and internal comms.

Turland was most recently a freelance comms consultant for a number of clients in the financial services sector, including Coutts, Accordance VAT and CoinInvest.

Prior to this, she was head of PR at the World Gold Council, where she was responsible for managing PR activity around the launch of the first gold-backed exchange traded fund on stock exchanges around the world. She also spent a number of years in-house as a PR manager at Coutts.

Kleinwort Benson CEO Martha Boeckenfeld said: "We are delighted to welcome Anita as Kleinwort Benson’s head of public relations and internal communications. Her wealth of experience in financial communications enables us to develop and drive forward a fresh communications strategy which will further position Kleinwort Benson as a leader in the private banking space. Her appointment comes at a time when we are focused on transforming the business."

Turland added: "This is a really exciting time to be joining Kleinwort Benson. I am looking forward to developing and executing a variety of communications strategies across the company’s private banking, advisory and wealth management offerings, as well as its plans for the future. My role will involve focusing on external and internal audiences and building on my experience and contacts in this sector."
