Media multinational Dentsu Aegis Network appoints Travelex's Dani Filer to global comms role

Dentsu Aegis Network, a UK-headquartered media and digital marketing company, has hired Dani Filer as global director of communications and marketing, starting next year.

Filer will take responsibility for promoting Dentsu Aegis Network's agency brands, which include digital marketing business iProspect and Japanese ad agency Dentsu, its products, services and executives. She will also oversee the delivery of integrated comms through the leadership of its global comms network.

Based in the company's global headquarters in London, she reports into Jerry Buhlmann, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network.

Buhlmann said: "With ambitious plans and opportunities ahead of us, Dani is joining the business at a critical time and we’re looking forward to leveraging her portfolio of established communication skills to further articulate to all our stakeholders how Dentsu Aegis is different and better."

Filer has spent the last five years as communications director at foreign exchange business Travelex where she was responsible for promoting the company's brand, its corporate and consumer PR agendas and for managing business change through internal comms. Previously, she was an associate director at Ogilvy PR in Australia.

She said: "I am delighted to join Dentsu Aegis Network, one of the world's fastest growing and digitally pioneering agency groups. The success of the organisation is largely due to its strong leadership and great people. I am looking forward to working with the team to further evolve the brands and culture, which in turn will help our clients achieve their business ambitions."

Filer takes up her new role at the end of January.
